Hello, I'm Tim Arnold, I'm a Racing Driver and ARDS (Association of Racing Driver's Schools) Grade A Licensed MSA (Motor Sports Association) Approved Instructor. I specialise in Track Day Instruction, Coaching Racing Drivers and Performance Driving Tuition, including advanced Car Control, Skid Control and 'Drifting'.

 

I offer private one-to-one track driving tuition for all levels of experience from complete novices wanting tp learn the basics for track days or to get through their ARDS Test and go racing, to experienced track day enthusiasts and racing drivers who want to improve their technique and pace.

Oulton Park Fun Cup Round

I took part in a four-hour Fun Cup race at Oulton Park on Saturday 17th October, sharing the drive with an instructor colleague of mine, Howard Hunt, and a novice driver called Adam Bath.

Career History - Instructor

The very first time I did any instructing was at the Jim Russell Racing Driver's School at Silverstone not long after I had finished my own courses there and started racing; it was however only in a reletively minor role. My first proper instructing job came much later.

Career History - Racing

My racing career began in 1977 and 1978 with two full courses at the Jim Russell International Racing Driver's Schools at Silverstone and Snetterton, although I had previously driven a Formula Ford 1600 in a trial lesson with JRIRDS at Mallory Park in 1972 aged just 15.
