Anthony Reid is highly successful professional British Racing Driver. His career includes a podium at Le Mans, works drives with Nissan, Ford and MG in the British Touring Car Championship, Japanese GT, Japanese Formula 3 (Champion in 1992), Japanese Formula 3000, and he was offered a drive in Formula One with Jordan but was unable to raise the required budget. Anthony is currently racing in the 2011 British GT Championship with Chevron.

“I’ve known Tim Arnold since we met in 1976 when we were both starting our careers by doing courses at the Jim Russell International Racing Driver’s School at Silverstone. Since then our paths have crossed occasionally - most recently as we are both working with Chevron Racing Cars on their GR8 project.

I was due to take part in a private test day with Chevron at the Anglesey Circuit (on 7 June '11) and as I had never driven this track before I asked Tim to give me some tips on the circuit. I arrived early and went around the circuit in my road car to try to learn it. When Tim arrived he jumped in with me and quickly pointed out adjustments I could perhaps make to the lines I was taking through two of the corners.

Tim's advice proved to be exactly right. It allowed me to get on the pace immediately rather than waste valuable laps learning the track myself.”
